RMOA Business Institute (RBI)
The RMOA Business Association (RBA) established the RMOA Business Institute (RBI), www.rmoabusinessinstitute.org, for military veterans and non-veterans seeking to become entrepreneurs. The knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities acquired during military service or while employed by other companies help enrollees to become successful entrepreneurs. Most RBA members are military veterans who parlayed their military service into prosperous companies. RBI’s comprehensive program features (1) Online curriculums; (2) instruction and mentoring by veterans and others who are operating successful businesses; (3) internship; (4) an incubation phase to help launch new businesses; (5) a Certificate of Completion; and (6) technical assistance that continues after graduation. RBI uses the Kaufman Foundation Entrepreneurial curriculum and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
RBI is a unique and value-added program because it provides experience-based and personalized entrepreneurial training. The courses are taught and managed by military veterans and non-veterans who became successful entrepreneurs. Executives of thriving small businesses review business plans crafted by RBI Fellows and provide advice based on their experience. RBI also helps Fellows (students) to navigate the filings, certifications, and preparations required to launch a new business. RBA members who serve as RBI Advisors/Mentors function as role models and confidantes; provide guidance, advice, and encouragement; impart technical knowledge and other expertise; collect data; and refer Fellows to supportive services as required.

Entrepreneurial Support -Starting and growing a business requires deep support. The Center for Entrepreneurship provides networking, mentoring, education, business plan development, workshops, and connections to other entrepreneurs. You focus on building your business, and we’ll provide the support to get you where you’re going.
Customized Training - Do you need to train new employees or upgrade the skills of existing employees? Whether you are a large business, a small business, or starting your own business, we have a growing list of training courses designed to be customized to meet your business goals.
Training Grants - Training grants may be available for businesses with multiple employees that need upgraded or enhanced skills. The expected result after training is that these employees will be eligible for increased wages and/or promotions. Contact the Center for Entrepreneurship to learn if your business is eligible.
Thrive! - The Center for Entrepreneurship is your connection to the Washington State Thrive program. This program supports existing companies in North Central Washington and facilitates growth into outside markets by assisting with strategic issues and providing access to sophisticated research tools. Second-stage companies benefit the most from a Thrive experience: They typically have 6 to 99 employees and generate about $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue, depending on their industry. Contact the Center for Entrepreneurship to determine if your business qualifies for these resources.
Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEAP) - The SEAP Program is a partnership between WVC's Center for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs). This program provides guidance and resources to unemployed individuals interested in launching a business.
Western Dairyland EOC Inc.
The Western Dairyland Business Centers provides assistance to individuals interested in starting, expanding or improving small businesses primarily in Barron, Buffalo, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix and Trempealeau counties. The Business Centers' services are designed to provide entrepreneurs with access to individualized as well as group business training, referrals, financing, technology, and ongoing business case management services. Assistance is provided at various locations throughout the service area as well as on-site. Owners of start-up, existing, and expanding businesses receive technical assistance in all aspects of business operation including business plan development, feasibility studies, marketing assistance, business management, and operations.
Widener University Small Business Development Center
Widener University Small Business Development Center assists businesses start, grow and prosper. Our center provides one-on-one consulting services and delivers educational training programs to new and existing businesses in southeastern Pennsylvania. The mission of the Widener SBDC is to grow the economy of Delaware and Philadelphia Counties by providing entrepreneurs with education, information, and the tools necessary to build successful businesses. Early in 2019, Widener SBDC was designated as a NextGen Lab for Design Thinking and Analytics by SAP and became the first of 1100 SBDCs in the country to achieve this designation. The United States Small Business Administration (SBA), awarded Widener SBDC the 2019 Center of Innovation and Excellence Award for exceeding our goals and in recognition of best practices. Widener SBDC also received this recognition in 2013.
